module 1 & 2

Communication is a part of every job whether it is verbal or nonverbal you will have to communicate with people on a daily basis. This type of communication doesn’t just involve speaking to people but writing as well. Knowing how to communicate in different situations is most important. You have to reach every person on a personal level for them to be able to relate to what you are saying. You not only have to know how to relay to others, but to do it in a timely fashion.  Using PAIBOC helps the writer connect to the audience but to make sure the reader understands without having to think about what they are reading.
The most interesting thing that I read in this chapter was how much it cost to write a simple letter. In this class I know that I will write many papers, but trying to figure out how much each one will take me and how much money that is astonishes me. Also knowing that one letter is proof read so many times also made me think of how perfect my writing needs to be to save money.
Another thing that I found interesting was that school writing and business writing were so completely different. When I understood the diversity between them it shocked me. Knowing that we are taught one way all through our schooling and then having that all changed seems outlandish.
